Framed Great Mormon Butterflies

The great Mormon butterfly (Papilio memnon) is a common swallowtail that is native to southern Asia. 

These specimens are displayed to illustrate the sexual dimorphism within the species. The female is displayed on the top and the male on the bottom. Females of this species are polymorphic, and mimic inedible red-bodied swallowtails as a defence mechanism.
