European Praying Mantis (Male)

The European Praying Mantis (Mantis religiosa) is probably what most people think of when they picture a mantid. A non-native species in Ontario, these wild caught specimens are easily kept outdoors in a DIY mesh cage, or can be housed inside in a planted terrarium.
